Associate Pastor

Reverend Allan Dikes assumed the position of Executive Assistant in October 2007.  Though new to the position, Allan is not a stranger to the Mission or to the issues that can bring someone to the “bottom of life’s barrel.”

Allan arrived at the Oroville Rescue Mission in July of 2004 needing serious change in his life.  His carefree lifestyle and addictive behaviors had taken its toll on him…leading only in the direction of death and destruction.  Through the grace of God, and the Oroville Rescue Ministries New Life Recovery Program, Allan began the process of restoring his life.

Knowing that the Lord Jesus Christ had placed a “Call to Ministry” on his life many years prior, a call that Allan had abandoned, he began to work towards the process of the restoration of his calling as well.  He began working at the Mission, first at the warehouse facility, eventually becoming the Warehouse Supervisor.  From the warehouse, he began driving the Mission truck, and eventually became the Mission Houseman.  This position left him in the role of “Mission Supervisor” when the Executive Director and the Chaplain were not on premises.  This position is where his real training began for ministry.

While working in the program, the Chaplain (now Executive Director) began having Allan take Ministerial Courses with the Pentecostal Church of God.  Through hard work and study, Reverend Allan Dikes received his “Exhorter’s Credentials” with the Pentecostal Church of God in January 2008.

Reverend Dikes was promoted to the position of Ministry Associate Pastor in January 2008, and is the Director of the “Timothy House.”  He plans to advance his ministerial credentials, and would like to take courses in the Alcohol and Drug Studies Program, possibly receiving his Drug & Alcohol Counselors License as well.
